CLIMATE EXODUS
A film by David Baute
The rains have left Turkana, the cradle of humankind. Lobuin struggles each day to secure the last remaining water supply to survive. This documentary film tells the story of three women who, as a result of climate change, have lost everything.
Lobuin fights daily to obtain the last reserve of water to survive in Turkana (Kenya), where it no longer rains. Nazma lost her crops in Ghoramara (India) due to rising sea levels; her lands have been left barren from salt intrusion. Tornadoes and violent hurricanes now strike the island of Saint Martin (Caribbean) more frequently, where Vanesa has lost her home, while her neighbors have lost their lives.
